Frozen Strawberry Margaritas, Two Ways

← Back to the blog

Strawberry is the flavor that wins over the whole crowd — bright, a little sweet, and stunning in the glass. Here's how to make a fresh, frozen strawberry margarita, plus a virgin version so the kids, the designated drivers, and everyone in between can join the toast.

The classic frozen strawberry margarita

Scaled for one machine bowl — always check your machine's fill line and adjust to match.

  • Strawberry margarita mix — a quality mix for reliable flavor and a clean freeze
  • Fresh strawberries — a handful, hulled, for real fruit flavor and color
  • Fresh lime juice — a splash to keep it from going too sweet
  • Water — per your mix instructions
  • Tequila — silver/blanco, optional
  • Garnish — salt rim and a fresh strawberry on the glass

Purée the fresh strawberries with a little of the mix, then combine everything to the fill line and stir before starting the machine. Keep tequila to roughly a 4-to-1 mix-to-tequila ratio so it freezes properly.

Pro tip: A squeeze of fresh lime keeps strawberry from tasting candy-sweet — it's the little balance that makes guests come back for a second.

The virgin version (just as good)

Skip the tequila and top up with a touch more mix or water. You'll get the same gorgeous color and frosty texture — perfect for showers, family parties, and daytime events. With a dual-bowl machine you can even run a spiked bowl and a virgin bowl side by side.

Serve it the easy way

No blender, no melting ice, no mess. The Tipsy Lime delivers a commercial dual-bowl frozen drink machine, sets it up, and picks it up — so you can serve both flavors all event long and actually enjoy your party.

Please enjoy responsibly. Must be 21+ to consume alcohol. Liquor is not provided with our rentals.
